Tolles italienisches Restaurant am Eingang von Luz. Die Speisen waren von Der Vorspeise bis zum Hauptgang sehr ausgewogen und unglaublich lecker. Sehr frische und und lecker Zutaten. Sowohl die Pizza wie auch der Fisch waren super abgeschmeckt. Der Service immer freundlich und aufmerksam und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmig. Wir kommen gerne wieder. ~ Markus

A comida estava ótima, porém, um dos funcionários quando me viu entrar teve uma postura um tanto quanto desagradável, revirando os olhos com desagrado, me senti bastante desconfortável, apesar de estar ali como cliente, achei que o atendimento poderia ter sido melhor vindo deste específico funcionário, os outros funcionários, comida e valores foram excelentes. Empfehlenswerte Pizzeria außerhalb von Luz mit guten Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Restaurant: leckere Steinofen-Pizza, leckerer Salat, kühles Fassbier, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, ruhiges Club-Ambiente mit einfachen Sitzmöglichkeiten, man könnte sogar den kleinen Pool im Innenhof mitnutzen. Freundliche ruhige Service-Kräfte. Zu dumm, dass wir euch erst an unserem vorletzten Urlaubsabend entdeckt haben... Weiter so! :) ~ MIchael J

Atendimento impecável e comida Maravilhosa! Fui comemorar meu aniversário no restaurante e não tenho palavras para o atendimento de todos os funcionários, em especial a dona Tatiana que foi super atenciosa com meu convidados. Comida está deliciosa, ficou pronta super rápido. O ambiente é incrível, tem uma decoração espetacular. Ótima opção para jantar. Nota dez ~ laila R

Die Pizza ist extrem gut, belegt mit frischen Zutaten, absolut empfehlenswert! Die Desserts, die wir bestellt haben, waren sehr schön angerichtet, es ist handelt sich aber leider um Fertiggerichte. Und diese können selten mit frisch zubereiteten Produkten mithalten. Trotzdem gebe ich fünf Sterne und wir werden wiederkommen, allerdings werden wir kein Dessert mehr verzehren. ~ Bea B

Welwitschia has a special place in our hearts because it was actually the very first restaurant we ate at on our first night after moving to Luz — and we’ve loved it ever since. The pizzas are absolutely incredible, baked in a wood-fired oven, and as someone who really, really loves pizza, I can honestly say this is one of my favourite pizza places anywhere in the world. My personal favourite is the Trufa. It’s ridiculously good. But it’s not only the food. Everyone who works there is genuinely lovely. Always welcoming, friendly and happy to see you, and that makes such a difference. Amazing pizza, amazing people, and one of those places we’ll keep coming back to again and again. ❤️ ~ Jimmy P

Espectacular. De 10 noches hemos cenado 4 veces en este establecimiento. Seguimos sin cansarnos. Tienen una carta tan amplia que cualquier persona puede elegir sin equivocarse. Das Essen hat eine sehr gute Qualität wenn man eine große Pizza bestellt bekommt man diese auch 😉 50cm +-.... Hab sie nicht geschafft komplett zu essen....also groß genug 🤤 Bild ist hochgeladen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und es gibt ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten vor und hinter dem Gebäude. Es ist ein ebener Eingang hinter dem Haus. Zudem kann man tagsüber bei einem Besuch auch einfach in den vorhandenen Pool springen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. ~ Schnitzer _

Heerlijk gegeten! Wij komen regelmatig in Luz maar kenden deze plek nog niet. Zeer uitgebreide kaart met veel opties. Tevens veel vegetarische opties. Ze werken alleen maar met verse producten! Wij hadden als voorgerecht de arancini en een knoflookbrood met artisjokken, wat erg lekker was. Als hoofdgerecht een truffelpizza en lamsbout, beide uit de houtoven. Wij zijn er te spreken over dit restaurant en komen snel terug! Bedankt! ~ Niek

Soberbo! A fusão perfeita entre a deliciosa gastronomia que sempre nos habituaram, e um ambiente acolhedor e muito bem decorado, complementado com esplanada e piscina, que são a cereja no topo do bolo. Equipa sempre profissional e extremamente simpática. Fantástico! ~ João L

Portaliaans restaurant met lekkere gerechten. Italiaans gebaseerd met een Portugees laagje. Vandaag, als starter, een mini-pizza met guacamole, monzerella en tomatensaus. Gevolgd door een medium Pizza Margherita. Mijn partner had een Arancini en als hoofdgerecht Filete de Robalo. ~ Hein M

Tem a melhor pizza de forno a lenha do Algarve! Mas também há imensas opções no meu. Um bom sítio para passar a tarde em família ou com amigos na piscina. Tem espaço para as crianças brincarem e bons acessos para os mais idosos! A simpatia do staff é incompatível 💚 ~ L. S

Welwitchia in Luz is one of those places we keep coming back to again and again. We first found it shortly after moving to Montinhos da Luz, and even though we now live further away, the pizzas alone are reason enough to make the trip back. Their wood-fired pizzas are consistently excellent — flavourful, perfectly baked, and clearly made with care. The staff are always warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming every time we visit. On my last visit I also tried the beetroot salad and their fries — and wow. The fries were unbelievably crispy and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. We also shared the garlic bread, which was very tasty and a great start to the meal. This is a place we happily return to despite the longer drive, and that really says it all. Highly recommended if you’re in Luz and craving a truly good wood-fired pizza in a lovely, friendly setting. ~ Malin L

It was the best meal we ever had in Portugal, we are coming to Portugal for like 20 years now and we found out about this restaurant on the fork and we absolutely loved it ❤️. The owners are very friendly and funny and especially the owners daughter that works in the bar such an amazing vibe and good energy and amazing views for sure 🤭 All the restaurants that we have been in Portugal have gave us some kind of stomach ache but this restaurant no, it’s all fresh and lovely ☺️ We are coming back everyday in our holidays now :) Thank you staff you guys are amazing 💋 ~ Rabanetes X

Staff 5* Espaço 5* com piscina Gastronomia brutal, para além de Pizzas, tem menu de Brunch, Massas, Hambúrgueres, pratos de carne brutais, selecção de vinhos top, cocktails by the pool top. Aconselho vivamente, vou voltar de certeza várias vezes. ~ João M

Estou de férias conheci este restaurante maravilhoso,comida excelente, pizza a melhor que já comi,a massa perfeita com ingredientes frescos,carta dos vinhos diversificada para todos os gostos e bolso,voltarei com certeza ~ Angela B

OMG. 10 STARS. We were returning from a beautiful sunset tour with our guide Perdo (Natura Tours), when we were craving pizza. He thought this place might do the trick but we had to hurry because it was closing soon. When we arrived he confirmed they were willing to stay open for us. When we entered I was in awe of the atmosphere — amazing Italian wood fired pizza oven on display, pool outside, and very spacious accommodation. I almost forgot that I was doubting whether pizza in Portugal could be as good as NY. The menu looked reassuring with wonderful options both traditional and with a local twist. We ordered 3 pizzas and wine. I could have eaten the entire pizza myself. I think this place is in my top 3 maybe top 2 pizzas of my life. I wish I could return everyday. (And, Yes I eat a lot of pizza in the US… ). The other reason I loved this place was the service. I believe it is women-owned and operated and the owner was very gracious and appreciative of our compliments. Obrigada! ~ allison h

I’ve been here multiple times, tried so many things and I keep coming back for more! My top favourites so far have been the risotto, the pepperoni pizza, the apple cinnamon pancakes and the absolutely amazing Brownie! The tropic thunder smoothie is so refreshing and tasty! The service has been super quick, friendly and attentive every time and the pool is so nice on the hotter days. Would recommend to anyone looking for a regular spot with a hugely varied menu, beautiful staff and a place to cool off. ~ Stevie L

A little way outside of the town, but worth the 2km trip. The food was unfaultable (is that a word?) They offer a huge range of Pizzas cooked in a very large wood fired oven, as well good range of Italian cuisine, often fused with local ingredients, some with a little twist on tradition. The service was fantastic, very enthusiastic, always with a smile and very attentive. Honestly couldn't fault it. I'd write a second review for the second visit, but no options to. Erg lekker gevarieerd eten met heel vriendelijke bediening. De tonijnpizza was heerlijk. De gegrilde octupus zag er geweldig uit en was enorm lekker! De prijs was ook goed. We hebben deze plek vaker bezocht, het was steeds goed! Zeker aanrader! ~ Ineke V

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub mehrmals dort. Das Essen ist einfach super lecker, vor allem aber die Pizza! Sehr freundliche und bemühte Mitarbeiter und man wartet nicht lange auf das Essen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! ~ Julia F

Heerlijk gegeten zeker een aanrader. Prijs ,kwaliteit en bediening fantastisch. Bij binnenkomst heel vriendelijk ontvangen en naar ons tafel begeleid. Als je in de buurt bent zeker de moeite waard om daar te eten. ~ Tony G
